Default You guys see this $hit about APS!

https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...g-out-aps.html

I was always under the impression they were one of the best setups and a stand up company? Guess not, shitty chinese parts and no loyalty. They are not supporting domestic kits anymore.

Wow! That was some good reading! 15 pages in the span of a day or two!

It sucks to see APS screw so many of their customers. The kit looked pretty damn nice too!

LOL that sucks. Fast forwarded through the BS. Pretty funny how he suddenly claims, "Thats ok, we no longer make f body kits".

Stupid.

Add APS to the list of turbo companies that have made a mess of things.

Something told me a year ago... with the delay's to the release on their "kit" that something was up. Next thing I hear about is all the problems with the kit, then that was it I knew there was only X amount of time before this type of thign happened.

Best bet: stick to one of the smaller local guys that will only do 1 car at a time and won't take a deposit until he has the car. Seems like the only way to turbo a car these days and not worry about getting porked over. And even then... better know who he is, where he lives, etc.etc.

That sucks. The APS kit came out at the time I bought a used procharger kit. I almost put that back up for sale in favor of the aps. I thought there was finally a solid turbo company out for our GM cars. Guess not.

TTi, that's about the only one that's been around for any length of time and they are still doing business.

What gets me the most is the guy Pete seems almost happy (in a shitty way) that the company is getting out of the f body stuff.

Sometimes companies stop doing business because the people running the place have a basically lousy attitude and that translates to the product and customers in time.
After reading Pete's posts in that thread it's NO suprise to me that this is going on and it would not surprise me one bit to find out that all this could have been avoided in the first place with a little common sense, homework and to care at least a little bit about the consumers.

Wasn't there a mile long post last year that they didn't take care of the customers in the past who had the faulty inlet ducts colapsing? How about the piping rattling on the sway bar? I'm not the least bit surprised.

I completely agree. He is just absolutely arrogant in that thread. I did take the time on Friday to read through it. Damn shame.

Supposedly, out of all domestic v-8s markets. No more fbodies, corvettes, g8s, gtos.

No respect, I am sure they will just go on to screw other people. Seems to be the way things work, hopefully it will catch up with them.

allthough i hate the way APS has handled their problems with these turbos i cant completly say they stiffed us. YES the Turbos are junk and they are doin absolutely nothing to help us. however, the rest of the kit itself is still top notch and they delivered it, ahead of schedule for a great price, so for that i cant complain. alot of other previous turbo companies can not say the same.

when i first heard this deal i suspected that this is what they would do. obviously they needed to do something to keep the cost of the kit itself down. i just hate the fact that they are willing to do absolutely nothing in terms of replacing bad turbos knowing this is an on going issue.

so far....ive been one of the lucky ones...mine are holding up but than again i havent really pushed it like some other guys have and at this point i dont think i will untill i can upgrade to some better ones.

the thread isnt going to accomplish anything with APS cause you've all seen some of the responses that Peter has posted....they simply dont care anymore. 1 good thing will come of it though...they are cross posting that thread in every single forum with potential APS customers and it will most certainly taint their reputation with other car brands which they so heavely rely on.

in the end, after the $2800 upgrade, this will still be a bad *** kit with great potential and for that, i have no regrets on my purchase.

Well said; which somewhat leads back to the request that they sell the kit without turbos. That issue aside, the whole setup is still gorgeous.

they arent selling (or manufacturing) any kits anymore at all for the Fbody. but, if they did, think of it from a business stand point if you owned the company. you probably bought these turbos in very large quantities and to have people want to buy the kit without those turbos means you'd have a bunch of unwanted parts sitting in your warehouse. not exactly what they want on the business end of things...they'd lose thousands. so i can understand why they wouldnt want to do that.

regardless, i would still recommend this kit (minus the turbos) to anyone wanting to do a TT upgrade and keep all your accessories....the "factory" look of the kit is what sold me on it.
