Question Any shops familiar with LS engines around MA area?

My car had bottom end(LS2) failure which beat up the combustion chambers in my Trick Flow heads.

Wondering if you guys know any shops familiar with LS engines that could repair the heads for me.

Also on a side note. Where can I find an LS2 short block? I've been looking everywhere with no avail. Found one on ebay:

Not sure if I should go with it or not..

Looks like a throw away head. Most good shops won't weld it up because it does damage to the hardness of the rest of the aluminum.

Damage really isn't bad, in exception of a couple small nicks. Ill take it to a local shop tomorrow and see what they say. Ill get the valve seats checked as well.

Yes,but it would have to be ground down which will make 1 cylinder different than the others. Sure, people have fixed them but I've seen a few people drop valve seats after. Not worth it to me.

I'd say the head probably should be tossed... but then again if you go on Brodix's website and see some of the stuff those guys fix, it makes a case for it being repairable.

Problem is finding someone to do it that knows WTF they are doing. Chances are, you'd be better off replacing it.

I brought it to a shop called "Eastwoods". They build engines all day long. He said it doesn't look that bad, and he's gonna flow test the head and compensate for differences after.
