Default More pics of the WELD RST black face drag pack!

OK so finally I got some sunshine after work. I ran home grabbed the car and ran to a few quick places and grabbed some ok pics but hopefully start to give the rims some justice till I get the proffessional pics done. For those that do not know. These are the new Weld RST rims front and rear, no spacers, bolt right up with standard lugnuts. They are beautiful and light weight. I did choose a smaller 275/40/17 rear tire so I know it looks small but its what I use for my combo. These are just a few pics of the ones I took. The rims fit great, offset is near perfection sitting right along the body.

OMG did you have to quote every picture.

Looks good fart knocker. Besides ccw classics that's got to be up there as one of the best looking dragpacks for the vettes. But i'm sure they are lighter.

LMAO nice quote The fronts are M&H front runners 185/55/17s. I drive the car on the street alot and if I got caught in the rain I'd need something to keep it on the road. The radial front runners almost 10lbs more than a bias ply front runner.

Love the wheels, but I really do wish they filled out the back fenders more.

Thats my fault regrettfully not the rims fault. From the factory the stock rim/tire is over 27inches and my tire/wheel combo is about 25.7inches. Its the small tire that throws off the look a little.

^^^ Oh yea I figured that because the tires look like they barely fit the wheels. As long as it works!

The wheels look great Bruce! A taller tire will look good on there.

What was the reasoning for running the shorter tire? I know your a big drag guy, i would think the shorter tire would be a disadvantage for you once you hit the strip?

Shortest, stickiest tire that gets it down the track is all you need. Taller tire is just more rotating mass. Shorter should turn more rpm as well, launch easier.

It's like putting a numerically higher gear ratio in since you can't get them for c6 rears.

He won't do taller but I'd like to see wider.. Those 275/40s leave a large lip on the rears
