Default Heat not working need a mechanic in CT?

I just had my coolant drained and replaced. The heat was workind before and now is not working. I must have a blocked heater core. I dont have no leaks and the air blows hard just not hot at all. Anyone that owns a garage or can help me flush it. If it wasnt so damn cold I would try to flush myself. Just pm me if you can help. Could the thermostate be stuck or is heater core that is another ? Anything I could put in that will clear it out on its own? Thanks

if it worked before then there isnt a blockage. possibly there is still air in the system. feel the heater hoses in the engine bay to see if they are hot or not. both hoses will be hot if it is circulating through the core properly.

If they drained it and replaced it the heater core can't be blocked, that only happens during a power flush. I'd say it's low on coolant and has air in the system like Ed said, if that's not the problem then it's a stuck thermostat.

Either your coolant is low or when they drained it it made some coolant sludge come loose and is now stuck in your hearer core. Just flush the core.

My problem dont know where to flush with this cold weather. Anyone want to help im in manchester. I could throw you some cash. The heat would take a little longer to heat up but it worked good. I think i had a sludge buildup somewhere already.would a powerflush unblock it

Check for air/low coolant first. Then backflush it if it's clogged to push the blockage out of the heater core.

Yeah remove the cap, start it up and let it run, and the air will bleed out of the system.

universal green schit. I think the dexcool left gunk because the coolant resoiver dipstick is corroded. I wish i changed in spring. I dont know where i can get it backflushed to cold outside. Wasnt to happy about them not using dexcool. They suck old **** out and put theuniversal in. The levil is fine. I hope its just air.

For the backflush of the heater core. All i need to do is disconnect the two hoses from the water pump? Do i disconnect them both and flush them both or one at a time. I just need to get acces to a hose inside

I would get it tuned, lower thermostat you want to fans to come on at lower temperature tune. Although, i wouldnt waste money on a tune just for a thermostat haha

I hope you learned not to take it there anymore, or any of those cut rate butcher shops. I do all my own work for that reason, and if I can't fix it I take it to my former Pontiac dealer since they always do it right.
