Cartek Twin Turbo 346 ran 9.90 today at Atco Well, we got 9s!!! Here are the details:
60' - 1.462
330' - 4.129
1/8 - 6.361 @ 115.71 mph
1/4 - 9.901 @ 137.90
Dave drove the car and let off at the top of the track because the car was breaking up a bit. We changed the spark plugs and I made a pass - 10.71 @ 142.57 mph What a difference a set of sparkplugs made in the mph. Not only did the car had its record e.t. today but also trap speed (142.57). And we're leaving a LOT on the table. We're not even running close to the 1000 rwhp that the car put down.
This car is incredible. It's definitely capable of mid 9s in its current state. I broke the rear last week and we went with 2.73s. Maybe not an ideal selection but enough to get us a 9 second time slip. Nothing like going through traps in 3rd
I gotta thank Cartek for building me this car and all the support they've shown. HUGE props to them.

I missed that actual pass (saw the 142.57mph one though) yesterday but I just watched the video and

Thanks guys.
We're still experimenting with the car. The 2.73 gears were a surprise for me. I busted a 300M main output shaft and beat up the tranny quite a bit. When Cartek had the tranny out, they were going to put in 3.15s but didn't have any in the shop. We had to make the race on Saturday so they put in the 2.73 and didn't tell me
On the first pass I'm thinking to myself "Damn, it takes a looooong time to get out of 1st." Then I cross the stripe in 3rd gear. I go back to the staging lanes and Dave is laughing his *** off. "How are those 2.73s?"
I'm planning to sqeeze in two more rentals before the season ends here. I'll be trying really hard to get a sub-9.50 slip.

Was this the black one??
i saw a 10.0 or a 10.1 pass out of that!! it was sweet, and traction sucked yesterday. that thing was moving! congrats

Thanks. it was a fun track. first trip to atco for me. 7 hours for 2 **** runs and a broken drive shaft. DOH!!!!
