Default opinions/facts of 408 iron block in f body?

Is anyone running a truck motor? Is a new 6.0 with good crank/rods/pistons a good start to put alum. heads on just to get the cubes?
What does the weight do to the car?

I think it's only a 50lb diff. you can put a k-member and some a-arms to offset the weight.

I would say the block is stonger the cylnders are not sleaved, use arp bolts. I don't know about the revs I think the limiting factor in the revs would be your v-spings?

I havent built any lsx yet. The info I'm giving you is from other post and a few books. I have a lq9 block that I will be putting togegther this summer.

missed it. Actually the offer for an iron stroker just came my way causing me to search and my keyword got nothing since I wasn't sure what they are made from parts wise. Don I'll shoot you the info for you advice after I read the build up post
Money is a limiting factor and it's a 408 with nice internals abandoned project.
Could be a good deal!
