Default Another happy DEZ Racing customer...

I just picked up my car from Dez Racing this weekend, I had a 232/238 cam with all of the valvetrain upgades installed as well as a full tune by Slowhawk... (a.k.a. Don)

I just wanted to say I could not have been happier with the customer service, the level of knowledge the whole staff has, and the cam... well the cam is just insane!

So thanks to Don, Mike and all the other guys at Dez Racing ...

I should have track results for the car in a week or two...

Everything else in the motor is stock... heads, pulleys, even a stock LS1 intake
SLP Stainless headers, ORY, and loudmouth
Yank SS4000 converter, TransGo Shift kit otherwise stock A4
Moser 12 Bolt with 3.73's
a little weight reduction, should be down around 3200-3300 with me in it...

He couldnt get the converter to lock up on the dyno and the tranny really just doesnt want to hold the power it's making so unlocked it made 330 RWHP (don't knock it, it isnt a dyno racer... we'll see the real numbers at the track...) I'm shooting for mid 11's on the motor... So we will see by the end of the month

And as don said... It sounds insane... I started in the garage witht the door open yesterday and the walls in my house were shaking...

Don can go into more details with the dyno numbers and everything if he wants to...

It made some serious dyno HP Well, the converter would not lock and the tranny would smoke Didn't do that bad with the loose 4000stall unlocked. 330hp, our other car with the same converter unlocked makes 360hp and run's 10.8-10.9's at 124mph at 3650lbs.

Get those track #'s. I'm sure it will run alot faster than 13's this time out

Haha yes I get to be the first! I cant wait to see what it puts down with the ls6 intake, ported TB, and 25% powerbond pulley. Hoping for close to 400 rwhp but my macs might limit me a little, plus I had to go back to the stock mac catted y-pipe...

Gut the cats I didn't say that

With the 98 heads I'm hoping we get the same gain.I'm thinking 380-390rwhp but it depends on how well the car dyno's when it comes in. This Cam would kick *** with a set of LS6 heads.

Haha i already gutted the cats once and it was just a little too much (not for me but my neighbors), so I got another mac catted y-pipe for free from my buddy who was ditching his macs for qtp hvmc's. I might have an exhaust shop weld in some magnaflow/carsound cats after the install. Do you think ti would be worth it or should I just gut the cats again? I mean after thinking about it how much louder can id be? Only issue is that my slp lm is welded on...

And I def plan on getting some ls6 heads in the future, just need to slow my roll a little on car parts as I am SUPPOSED to be saving for a DP on a house lol. Let me know if any guys at the shop are selling any good sets of heads if they go a different route and if I can swing it ill buy them.

How much louder? Well, mine about doubled the volume of the car... It is crazy loud now...

As far as hearing the cam, I have a video of it here at work with me, I am going to try to upload it sometime today...
