Default Leominster, MA

Hi,
I'm looking at a 96 Z28 in Leominster, which is over 3 hours from where I live. One major concern I have about the car is that the brake and ABS lights are illuminated on the dash. Brakes feel fine, when driving.
Made the guy an offer, factoring in the unknown brake issue, but we didn't come to an agreement.
Now, I'm trying to figure out if the brakes might just be a small issue, like low brake fluid of a missing ABS fuse, but I can't get back there to check those things now.
Ideally, I'd like to get the computer codes, but I don't have the tool to get them, even if I were able to get to see the car again.

So, I'm looking for anyone nearby Leominster that would be able to check this car out for me.
At this point, I'm not ready to move on it, but want to know if there is anyone who coudl help, and what it would cost, if and when I am.

Thank you!

Just a heads up, but there's also an ~98 SS for sale in Ashburnham I believe. It's just over the Westminster town line off Rt.12. If I had the tools to checkout the car in Leominster I would, but I own a handheld for an STi not an f-bod. I can ask a friend to check it out for you if he has time. When do you need to know bye??

I live in Leominster... Just have the guy bring it to Advanced or something to get the codes. My ABS light and brake lights are illuminated, but it is because I still haven't fixed ther harness going to a wheel speed senson - could be the problem right there

I'd be happy to help out, but no scan tool here???

98SS in Ashburnham huh? Where abouts? What color? Don't see to many out these ways except the guy I met the other night who SWORE his car ran 11 flat @ 122 on street tires

The SS is on rt. 12 west. You have to pass S&S Lobster in Fitchburg and go strait for like 10-15min. RIGHT after the town line going into Ashburnham, there's one on the leaft. I believe it's black.

I can probably scan the codes for you.

About the SS. I live like 10 minutes from it. It's Red and looks to be in real good shape. I think it is stock too. I'll stop by and check it out this weekend, although I think it is newer than a 98.

Black with chrome 10 spokes. Young guy, real tough guy I think he is spraying it, but 11 flat with no cage, street tires (goodyears), stock 10 bolt and a M6... Common??? Wanted to race for $2K I should have showed him 1 wheel of fury!

Haven't seen him before. You should of invited him to go race on C/F day at NED.

2k to race a stock car w/ spray, cocky bastard, well if he is trapping at 122 he must be running atleast a 150 shot. Although I think he is full of . Probably hasn't even run it once and is talking outta his a$$

My days of racing up John Fitch ended back in the early 90's when I got bagged in my buddies 89 LX Notch going 90+MPH up the middle lane The guy looked a little nervous when I fired up my car to leave. I'm hoping he's at a cruise night so I can give his car a lookover

Sorry for the hijack of the thread... do you still need help britdog?
