anyone see the cammed ls7 solstice on the power tour? heres some pics of some ls7 cars there.. also a few that i dont have pictures of are an 05 gto and an all black 99 camaro.. but by far the nastiest was the solstice... old hot rod sounded good too.. the orange metallic solstice im pretty sure had an sr20, and theres a foose mustang just for good measure..

yeah i talked to the guy driving it.. apparently all he does is drive around gm performance cars at shows.. the cam sounds pretty nasty in it, he didnt know what the specs were but he said it was putting out like 580 or something, with shorty headers.. sounded like maybe a 112 lsa, i doubt it had cats, it was loud as hell

LS7 solstice? are you ******* serious?

if GM produces that, that will be officially badass (although i will admit that i think the saturn sky looks better than the solstice )

The ls-7 Solstice was put together by Hot Rod magazine a few issues ago. I believe it was in 3 issues. The body is all carbon fiber. It is one nasty machine.

i cant believe they made a LS7 and T56 fit in a car like that. i guess its not much more crazy than the time i saw a Pontiac 455 installed in a fiero in HPP magazine.

GM will never make a good Solstice....a car that looks good without any power...go figure
It was definately bad ***.

My opinion...the new Camaro was Fugly in person...first impression it looked like a prowler with a roof. Wheels were horrible. I think the pics look better...in person...I think people say its cool because they want GM to make something. They can do better. They need to go back to the drawing board.

But it was made for the competition (import cars), which I believe was cars like the BMW Z4.

the death of the Fiero was the insurance industry. Insurance was high from the start, the V-6 worse. For younger drivers they became nearly uninsurable..

The Solstice and Sky are getting a 2.0l turbo with 260 hp. It is the most power per CI engine GM now makes.

the camaro was ugly.. its a cool concept car.. the wheels are way too big, im guessing theyre 20's, way to big for a production "muscle car", not to big on the IRS either..I wish they would have painted it something other than that boring silver... the ls7 solstice looked 10x better, and sounded nasty cammed.. The hot rod, i have no clue what it is, sounded bad *** too..

The orange solstice had a ecotec turbo motor, not an sr20. The rod in the pics belongs to Jay Leno and putsout 600hp to the crank and the Red solstice puts out 580 to the crank.
