off topic sled ran on apshalt
Well, my buddy from NY took my sled all summer to run on asphalt, just to run something different than his.. plus I wanted to see what it would do.
We think it may be the quickest/fastest twin cylinder N/A trail sled right now. I run the same setup in the winter. His is only hundreths slower than mine.. and was thought to be the old fastest N/A twin..
today ran 9.474 @ 133.8mph 1.32 60ft still has more we think, only the first time down the 1/4 mile..

Dan Ive raced those on the asphalt since 96, I know what you mean. Ive taken the last couple yr off. But in 97 the fastest I was 9.17 139.8 and that was 3/4 sec quicker than anyone else in the country. Way to go. How times have changed. For a few mid-7's are a reality now.

Whats the jive on the sled.

it's basically stock, except the shocks, the skid is wthout some parts. and the seat is lightened.. otherwise prob. only 20lbs lighter than stock. and pump fuel.. but we mix it for racing, to be safe in the heat..

yes a 5.92 @113.90 or something.. it should be mid 5.8's which may just get it down to 9.3x which would be sweet..

yeah some sleds are running 7's or something at 180? or something crazy.. but literally this sled is trail running, heck I ran it march on the trails..
not sure if any other sled on asphalt will run 100 miles on a trail in a day, that runs low-mid 9's especially a twin cylinder.

Stick a Boondocker NOS setup on it, which I see you Sell, and run in the 8's.

Dan this is the problem with asphalt as of late. There is no national structure of class's. I know your times are great for a twin, but there is no national class for your twin or other sled class less the NSA ones. Anything else is just a bracket race and Q8 or Q16. If you show up to race heads-up your going against sleds that are Running 8.40's. I know I dont have to tell you this and Im not knocking you for this. My race Org tried to come up with different class that covered many different sleds but racer turnout was low. I look foward to hearing more on the times during the summer. John O

yeah we know.. my driver is just bracket racing it.. like he has done the last few years.. it's just fun not having to "build" a race sled.. which we could easily, but if I did, we'd just do a triple.. but so far this is just for fun, like the cars..

Sweet!!! I just bought an asphalt track for the Super Stock 700 Ski-Doo I used to run on the grass. Figured I would set it up for asphalt this year. Scared shitless to hold onto that thing down the track though. It is running a full race port Crank Shop motor with stinger pipes, etc. Haven't seen anyone run a twin yet on the pavement - good to see it performed well.
Can I ask what you ran for gearing?
