Hmm when I was back home, both my cars had headers, one had a offroad y and still passed. My Gto had headers and Cats and passed with no problems.

It all really depends on where you take it. A properly tuned LS1 would have no problem passing emissions without cats. It would obviously not pass the visual inspection, though. So, you need a place that will overlook the absence of cats.

That's correct. As long as you had all of the other emissions equipment in place like the EGR and AIR. I haven't had any place actually pop the hood to look for them, but I also don't have to pass a sniffer test.

BTW, is your car sebring silver? Looks sharp. I'm guessing you got it repainted since I see the mirrors are body color.

yeah i don't need a sniffer but i know they will look under the car for cats.
and with the paint yeah i think it is sebring silver but i bought the car visually like it is now. i know that the hood is a suncoast and the spoiler is the rksport 3 peices. the front ground effects are also different so maybe they had everything painted at one time i don't know really thnx though.

From what I understand Pa no longer does a visual inspection for emissions. I ordered the Dynatech Supermaxx system which includes cats and my inspection is due next month. I had an electric cutout which is illegal but the shop I go to never failed it. A buddly of mine parents run a shop and I will ask him about the visual, and their not the shop I use.

According to the states site: http://www.drivecleanpa.state.pa.us/...pa/default.htm

You will only have a gas cap test and computer diagnostics. So, if your gas cap isn't leaking fumes and you're not throwing any codes, you should pass. No visual inspection.

Damn right. My car passed with no cats and long tubes. The guy never popped the hood.

It all depends on the county you live in. Most, like mine, only have the visual inspection.
