Default Car Clubs

Hey guys i am thinking about starting a car club in ct and i have a name all set up but i was just wondering if i need any special things to do in order to have this car club be like a legit thing... i dont want to be wearing a windshield banner with the name and have someone else have it and get in trouble...any ideas on how to make a car club

Yeah, you need a better name than whatever you chose. We had a sweeeeet thread on names....let me see if I can find it for you.

Edit: Crap! I think the Racer's Lounge got deleted....along with that hilarious.... uhm, I mean extremely useful thread.

no what im saying is do i need to get like a special thing or paperwork to start a carclub and have a name that no one else can copy or anything like that

i think you could get it copywrited if you wanted but i dont think its really a big deal. Just pick a name and go with it, if someone has it and doesnt want you to use it they will let you know im sure.

How about joining the ctfba.com. Why go through the trouble of making a club when there's already one in the state you are in?

↑ Good idea though you may be trying for those that are stuck in the middle?
Check the Eastern Forum to see if there is any interest or input from those that live close to you.

Most clubs are non-profit organizations so when you apply, they will tell you if that name is already being used.
