Is it worth it?: selling/trading current setup
Ok, my swap is taking forever and costing an arm and a leg and most of it is due to getting my engine done.
My current setup
98 Vette block with 60k miles on it and harldy any cabon build up
Thunder Racing Reverse Split 227/224 .569/.563 114 LSA cam (installed)
SLP Double Row Timing Chain Kit (installed)
Lingenfelter Oil Pump (installed)
new rear main seal
new front and rear cover gaskets
SLP F-body underdrive balancer (on but not torqued down)
Other:
Thunder Racing Heads STAGE 2 LS1 Cylinder Heads, 2.020 / 1.570 Valves 99 style castings (just heads and valves)
Spec Stage II clutch and stock flywheel
Lingenfelter/Weiland aluminum intake manifold
What I want to do is either sell it or trade it for a stock pull out engine (99 and up) without the tranny. Do you think this is feasable?
I just want to get my car running and can worry about adding power later..
Thanks,

what is stopping you from finishing? that looks like a weekend's worth of work to put together...or is there no bottom end on the motor?
i'm assuming you have fueling & spark stuff already

what is stopping me is that the engine budget is getting out of hand.
I am trying to finish the engine (yes, has full bottom end, new lifters.. almost done)
but I only have so much time and doing it all myself with no compressor or experience building an ls1 (other engines but not ls1).
since I am doing a swap into a 3rd gen rx7 I also have to prepare the chassis and other stuff. For me i just done have time and want my car on the road soon.

not stock block... I am thinking about just getting a complete stock engine and selling this project because I need the car done. I want to just drop it in the car and go instead of finishing up this engine.. It is just getting too expensive and I want the project done.
