Default best regions to buy cheap ls1's

If I heard of another lucky bastard finding a 50-70k ls1 M6 for less than 10k i am going to slam the monitor into my own face. I've been dreaming about getting a nice ls1, but just can't find it in the northern NJ area. What areas should i be looking for. Im willing to drive anywhere on the east coast...I drive from home in NJ to school in atl all the time so it's no problem really. I just need an LS1...im sure some of you new ls1 owners can relate to the crap im going through looking for THE car.

I got mine in Toms River for $9500. It didn't have any problems except bald rubber. Had 74k on it when I bought it.

The car was just sitting in the corner of a used car lot on Route 9.
