Yea it all depends, what year car, what type of emissions.

In CT if your factory ODB1, you go on the roller, if your 1996+ ODB2 you get scanned. In CT its easier to pass on the scan. But again what do you have???

I'd be intrested to hear if you can make it thru the OBD2 scan with a SD setup..
Obviously you're not getting the car thru a sniffer, I assume NY is a obd2 scan test?

Yes NY Is OBD II.

Intresting. I'll be intrested to hear the results of getting the SD car thru, if it can be done, I might have something in my intake tract that may take a permanent vacation.

I do them all the time with no problems. DOT only looks for either open MIL lights and/or failed tests. When you run SD you force the MAF to fail which trips a MIL light for the MAF. Disabling the MIL enablers for those codes will stop it from being a problem. There are a few other enablers that need to be snuffed to complete the clean bill of health!
