04 GTO ETP215s/FAST90/NWTB results from TTP
Already posted this over at ls1gto.com but figured I'd throw it up here as well to pass along the info...
The results are in and I'm damn happy with the outcome. Basically got what I was expecting number-wise.......started off the day with 366/360 SAE through only my 220/224 cam, ARH headers, SLP UD pulley and a Flowmaster catback.
Since then I added a stall converter/shift kit/cooler so must have lost a bit (5-10whp) once that went in. Yesterday and today the ETP215s (62cc), TTP Ported FAST 90mm, Nick Williams 90mm TB and 37# injectors went in the car to end up making.....404/388 SAE (smoothing of 5)....what is pretty damn impressive is my uncorrected numbers of 424whp/407wtq. A/F is at a 12.7 but I should be going back for some road tuning and another dyno tune in a few weeks to lean out a bit more.
I know I talk them up a lot but TTP came through for me once again, stayed late to get the car setup right and when I showed up yesterday Matt gave me a really nice surprise....he ordered me a black anodized Nick Williams 90mm to match my headers. Hell I didn't even know NW was doing that yet so I wouldn't doubt if I have one of the first ones Thanks again Matt!
But yeah I'm really happy with the outcome, I made the power I expected to make....another 40whp from heads/intake/tb and 30wtq so that's pretty damn great results considering this car is begging for more cam now. The 220/224 has so much room to breathe now it's like driving like stock. Honestly, the cam going through the stock 241 heads and LS6 intake shook the crap out of the car. Now it's just screaming for more air to be pushed around. We'll see in the summer.
On the street the tires are useless....I'm making 345wtq at 3000rpms and this through a 2800 stall.....so yeah it's exciting down low for such a mild street setup.
So all this was great news but it was bitter sweet. The trans was slipping a bit on the dyno and even more noticable once I was getting on it on the ride home so mid summer (if it lasts) the built trans goes in. It was inevitable. I only have 24k miles on the car but the car didnt have it's trans fluid changed the first 20k miles (I got the car at 2,000 miles at it was 2 years old....probably just sat in there and once we took the stock stall out, some metal followed a few months ago).
Once again though I want to thanks the guys at TTP for being such a kick *** group of guys. There's people who have spent 4x as much as me at other shops who don't get treated half as well. So another plug for em, they do great work and it shows from all the customers they have and the results they get.
Hopefully, I can make them proud and see some good track numbers from the setup.
Here are some shots from the day:
TTP
Crowded as hell!

ETP shot:
John taking off the Red from my FAST and matching it with the whole flat black parts theme, heh i didn't even ask...thanks again man!
All said and done:
For all those interested I will scan in the dyno sheet on monday at work to see the curve.

And the dyno chart (SAE smoothing 5)
...but yeah I'm happy with it, gained 38whp/28wtq on such a tiny cam, stalled a4 and a slipping trans...and it still pulls hard up top. Hopefully will be able to get to the track ASAP and learn the new setup and see what she'll do.
Going to be heading back to TTP in a few weeks to retune and get some road tuning done to lean it out a bit and see if we can get a few more ponies.
Thanks for the interest.

Thanks so much for the responses everyone, yep I'm excited about the results on a small cam setup. Probably if all goes well I'll be going to a larger cam in the future but other things need to be done ASAP (like a new trans ).
damon - I'm hoping for high high high 11's. I bought some Nitto DRs so hopefully I can run an 11 second run from the car. That will make me extremely happy with the setup.

I was very impressed with the power produced by these heads. I just swapped them onto my race car and actually made some nice power with them. I will be making a post concerning this soon.
