oh yeah... missed the little signed on the staging laser box... threw me off, I dont remember seeing those concrete blocks off the the side...

Yup, ideally you want forward momentum not upwards .

This is why I always argue that a Vette will out 60' an F-body with the same mods. Even if the F-body has suspension work done and the Vette is stock suspension and even lowered.

The F-Body will pick up the front tires, make it look pretty and waste a lot of energy. But the Vette will squat and go.

It takes a lot of suspension and suspension tuning to get an F-Body to 60' like a Vette with stock suspension.

weight distribution has something to do with that too... the tranny in teh vette being in the back does help, there's already a bunch more weight sitting in the back of the car.

Weight transfer is also better in the F-body. The torque arm style suspension is tough to beat when comparing to a vette.

Pretty good debate topic, but I would have to put my money on the f-body.

W/lightweight drag wheels and tires, George's ride would most likely have the fronts slightly off the ground during his launch. My opinion, only... WJ
