Finally got the new car home! (pics no 56k)
I bought this car three weeks ago out of Tampa, FL. All I saw was a few pics and a basic description, the guy who had it new NOTHING about it besides the fact it was "loud and idled rough". Had it shipped directly to Eastside last week and went down to pick it up today. I was nervous about what I was going to find...
2001 Z28 (m6) 40k miles
Mods...
LT headers... Unknown brand
Y-pipe... also unknown
Magnaflow cat back with UGLY tips
Lid & 85mm MAF
Subframe connectors
Some kind of short stick on I think the factory shifter
Cam....? Possibly?
Paint looked like hell. Brakes work... but not well. Cars pretty tight not alot of rattles and it drives straight. Interior is real clean. Car idles real rough on cold start up, doesn't want to pick up an Idle right away. Once it warms up it idles but with a noticable skip. It doesn't like anything under 2k rpm in first gear, bucks and shutters pretty hard, goes great once it's moving. Power seems to be lacking below 3.5k but it seems real strong up top. Needs some dyno time real bad.
When I first got it home...
About 2 hours later (still needs wax REAL BAD)
This car is going to be a complete budget beater, I've got a $$$$ amount in mind and I'm going to see how fast we can make this thing go while staying in the budget.
And thanks to Eastside for helping me out once again! And thanks to LS1LT1 for getting the wheels & tires to Eastsideso fast!

Looks good Timmy, by the looks of it, it cleaned up rather well. Maybe when your bring it down you can have Noyzee buff the hood and fenders. That should help out a little bit.
You still looking to do heads and cam?
