Default Kerminator is undergoing the knife...

Going with a new solution for the 98 camaro. Just ordered a bunch of parts, going to try something a bit more unique than what I have seen before.

L92 Block
DRP 4.070" pistons
Callies 4.000" Crank
GRP Aluminum 6.125" Rods
ETP Cyl Heads

The magic #'s seem to be:

416ci
~14:1 C/R

Thanks Brad. I have the GRP rods in hand, jon from my shop sold them to me because he's doing something real different with the 98 camaro. Shaun from SMC hooked me up with the l92. I have a set of AFR 225's that Im trying to unload right now because I am going to swap to the ETP 225's.

Thanks scotty. Funny thing Pete doesnt even know yet, I left him a VM earlier this morning, maybe he'll read the post

i bumped up to the 2000 series do to my use of spray. 7/16 bolts ect.
i cant wait to get my rods!!!!! the grp are suposed to be pretty much the best, im all exited.

the etp are super nice. pretty sure they will be doing a 6 bolt soon, i'll buy those when they are out.

1200. HP Ratings are in the 900+ range. Im going to play with N/A for a little bit, then I might go on the shot. I have the rest of my 10-pt to go in, net, chute mount, bars, nhra license to get out of the way. For now I'll just play with it and get thrown out everywhere I go

429, sounds badass. If you don't already have the 225 heads... I'd go bigger with them, the 240's would probably fit better, with 14 to 1 compression you're gonna want to move alot of air. What's the plan for an intake?

i lied, the 1200 series is rated at 900 for mainly na use. mine are the 2000 series rated at 1200 nitrous use. they have a little thicker crank journal end
sounds like you have the 1200

Of course we are doing the cage in-house here. We do not do certs but I got a buddy in paterson with a mid 6 second nissan that owns a chassis shop.

Ya these are 1200 rods with 7/16 bolts.

I dont have the 225's yet and actually I am going with something bigger I'm going to bother cary or craig later today for a set. I was thinking maybe even the ls7's... edit!

JL: If your paying for them sure. LOL. This motor is my interim motor to get me through the season. We will be building a bigger, badder, s/r motor this coming winter. This motor will prolly be for sale after a refresh by November. Ill use it for the lsx showdown event.

nope... but with all the huge buildup's going on these days... I can't beileve noone's posted up some #'s/results with those heads yet. I know they're big $.. but with the flow #'s those have they'd be able to feed a 420+ ci 14 to 1 comp. motor like it's noone's business.

Sooner then later someone will build a big motor with those. That head plus a 440ci lsx block will be a deep 8 second n/a powerplant.... hopefully someone will do it soon!

Next motor I do will be. Now, what the hell am I gonna put it in is the next problem. I probably could build the motor if I did it a little at a time in a year and a half to 2 years.... but it would take me another 5 years to build car enough to take it.
