Rear is in!

Rear is in!
Gotta say thanks to my buddies Scott and Mike for helping me out today. Couldn't have done it without either of em'.
The rear is dead quiet, thanks BlackScreaminMachine. And thanks to those who posted up the instructions.
We took the old rear apart, it was a pinion bearing or something on the pinion side of the rear. It would clunk along if you turned it by hand. It was so bad that my wheels were getting hot from the heat being generated.
So I probably could of gotten away with the same rear and fixed the bearings, but oh well.
It was good practice for when I get my 12 bolt. Only took about 3-4 hrs or so
Don, maybe when I catch up with you again you can fix my speedometer. I'm sure my mph and shift points are a little off with the 3.42's vs 3.23's.
I'm just bummed I missed the dyno day, and that my rear didn't hang on till the end of the season.

Yeah thanks man. Notice we cleaned it up a little and painted it a bit. I'll probably not race much this year. Maybe a few passes this fall and maybe on C/F day. Next year it will be time for a rear and some real tires.

Glad to help out Dan. I'd say it went pretty much as planned other than the end links needing to be replaced.
The neighbors loved the "test marks" you left in the road! The car sounds bass *** as usual.
Yeah, the brauts and burgers cooked up great on the new grill "side bumer". Kenmore QC

Good to hear it's back together Dan... now keep it together!
It was a good Dyno Day. Little bit of rain and not a single person melted.. hell most of us stood outside, then when the sun came out we were practically searching for shade!

Yeah I don't think I'll be hitting the track too much this year.
I'd still would like to get it on the dyno though. It's been expensive this spring. A couple trannies, a rear, and a set of tires.
I'll be up for C/F day, but probably just to watch and help out. I'll bring my video camera. I can only stay a half day as well (Graduation party).
