those cars have a different (aircraft t45 steel) and stronger k-member, the shocks are mounted onto the roll cage, they mount their shocks at different points, 2 panhard bars, aircraft grade steel everywhere, stronger wishbones and 100 other things.

i swear, those cars dont feel any stress whatsoever until they roll or drive over a 2 foot high rock.

They also have skid plates that could stop an anti-aircraft round. Their shocks are tuned for this, as well as having reservoirs (sometimes 2!) that hold extra/cool the damper fluid. Let's not forget the foot (or more in gravel spec trim, depending on which rally it's prepped for) of wheel/suspension travel built/engineered into these things!!
This stuff is my FAVORITE form of motorsport. I just wish GM was involved in it the way the Blue Oval has been for MANY years (they FINALLY won the manufacturer's championship last year!!! ). I also CURSE Speed Channel for pulling their WRC coverage in favor of UTTER BULLSHIT like that big ad for TOYota, "Speed Road Tour Challenge"!!

I saw a episode of stunt junkies and they jumped a WRX like that one and the guy over shot the jump and landed flat with no landing ramp and still didn't break any suspension parts. He cracked the windshield ,that was it.He didn't even blow a tire or anything. He flew 171 feet. They should have used that car for the Dukes of hazzard. That WRX would put the charger to shame. Thoses Rally cars are the ****
