Default a little truck update

well, the moror isn't blown up. that's a plus. one valve cover was cracked and the other had no baffles left. That's as far as they've gotten so far. The plan is to put on new valve covers and my spacers, new plug wires, heat wrap, and fix any shoddy looking wiring. (most of which i probably did myself).

Then take it from there. Both guys i've spoken to said "that kit looks like ****"

the big question left to be answered is, is it funtional and if so, will it continue to cause harm to my vehicle? If so, plan B which is yet to be determined.

Oh, and they're gonna rework that fucked up fuel system too.

I missed it, what happened to your truck? I thought it was 100% after having chased down your electrical gremlins.

i think he went to W2W.

hopefully they can give you an answer if it's busted beyond repair or something they can fix. all of this nickel and diming, transportation, parts, labor....i wonder. you are prob a decent way along to having a brand new setup.

Dan let W2W scrap the whole kit if need be you now have it being worked on by hands down the best in the business with FI stuff... let them do what they have to to make it right. You're so far in on the thing at this point you have nothing to lose, if you were gonna give up on it you would have a long time ago, it's obvious you want to see it thru to completion, let them do what needs to be done.

I'm surprised Dan's wife hasn't killed him. He's probly worth more to her dead, by now! At least he couldn't spend any more money...

What was wrong with the fuel system? I thought it was redone already? Something electrical as well?

fuel system is a piece of ****. speed engineering totally lied when they told me it can be run under 1/4 tank without issues. ******* bullshit. Anything under 1/4ish tank and is sucks air. AND when the obnoxious fuel pump was mounted it was mounted directly to the frame. It is stupid loud. it's getting remounted.

this is the reason why I'm glad I can do all my stuff on my own.

Dan I've read all the post going way back. Props to you for sticking with it. Eventually you'll have a real cool truck that you can DD.
