Thumbs up Painted my 25.5 (7.50 second ET) rollcage

Tyson at Performance Auto Fabrication did one helluva job. Only the bars above the floor are shown in this post:

Hope to get her certified in the next week or so (already talked to the NHRA inspector)...this is what it takes to go faster than 8.50 legally

Once I get my 7.50 sticker, I'll start refitting the interior panels

Also cleaned it up and got a nice picture of the back end

Looks great. Are you planning on having the car done by next season? I'll have to make a few trips to Cecil to check the car out.

technically it still only intersects the frame at the same amount of points as a normal cage, but has alot more boxed structure. Its what is required by NHRA/IHRA to go faster than 8.50 anymore, even then, this cage is only built to 7.50 specifications...a 6.00 cert requires even more structure

It should be running next season, I originally wanted it up by March, but not sure as I still have ALOT to do

That is really nice, very clean looking install.
Where is Tyson at?
How much does a cage like that cost? (appoximately)

He's located in a Northwest suburb of Baltimore, MD

25.5s start in the $5000ish range from scratch

That is beautiful. George over here just got his z06 certified 25.5. I am going for the 25.2 cert over the winter time.

Good luck Fireball, which inspector are you dealing with? Bob Nixon is a great guy he's from PA too.

Those pix don't do it justice! You guys should've seen the thing in the shop when it was getting done...The welds are flawless, attention to detail is ridiculous...Looks great Brian! Kinda makes my dinky 6 point Tyson's gonna do seem....eh....dinky......
