NJ trailer registration question
sup guys. i just bought a used open trailer.
this site says notarized bill of sale is needed but there is no mentioned of a title.
http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/Vehicle/PrivateUtilities.htm
i have the title for it, so i'm hoping that isn't needed. any advise or info?

I know in NJ you can say its a homemade trailer and they will give you a serial number and title for it. I don't think you need a title to register it. This is wierd because the only way I know this is because we were talking about it at work today. I'm not 100% sure but I think you can also use the title as the bill of sale, is the purchase price written on the back of the title? All the things that they list should all be on the title.

ok i got this registered today.
they didn't ask for bill of sale. i just had to put the price on the copy of the title that they made and initial it. went really smooth. DMV got their stuff together.
the title i got said it weighed 1350 lbs but they made me add the car weight to it when I filed out the registration but the price didn't change much so no biggy.
