Verizon Fios TV Anyone have it?
Thinking about switching to Verizon Fios TV. I have Fios for my internet. Works well. But thinking about going to the Fios TV and dumping Cablevision. On paper looks cheaper and you get more. But i want to hear from people that actually have it. Is it better. Did you like it. Only thing i am not going to like is learning a whole channel line up. So whats everyones opinion.

I have the complete VZ setup at my house. Fios internet, TV and VZ phones. The quality is great, never had any down time, the HD channels are unbelievable. Yes learning the whole new set of channels sucks the big one but its deff worth it in the long run. Good luck.

I wish I could dump Comcast's overpriced cable and internet service, but FIOS isn't available in Philly yet. Comcast has a stranglehold on the city. Over the 4 lousy years I've been at college, they've bought out the whole city. My freshman year there was Urban Cableworks, Comcast and Time Warner supplying competitive TV and internet services to my area. Comcast bought them all, and now they're in the process of building the tallest skyscraper in the city - all this was done over my 4 years in college...and prices have gone through the roof. Our cable/internet bill is $145, and we can't switch to anyone else because they're the only internet at my address
Get the FIOS. Yes, we don't like the telecom companies, either, but the lesser of the two evils in the Comcast vs. Verizon argument is definitely Verizon.

I have the tri-fecta, Fios is the best and cheaper as a bundle.
A Win - Win.
I have never had a problem (they give you a back up battery) and just resigned for two years.
But, Verizon ownes you if you switch because they remove your old lines from the pole and your house and install the fiber optic lines.
So then you are beat, because you cannot switch back. (no lines)
I would get it for sure.
The picture is so much better, it was like I got new TV's.
Enjoy.

Verizon Wireless customer service has been nothing but great to me.
Now, I realize Verizon actually only owns 60% of Verizon Wireless, so they are not fully affiliated with Verizon Communications (the wireless sector is privatized and shared with Vodafone from Europe). However, Verizon DSL...I've set up numerous accounts for numerous people. The DSL CD sucks and usually doesn't work, so I've always called in to create the accounts (the reps say the CD is a great coaster ). The CSR's have always been helpful and I find their service 1,000,000 times better than Comcast.
It took Comcast about 6 visits and 6 weeks to my apartment in Philly to hook up our cable and internet. They are, hands down, the worst company I've ever had to deal with. Even after we finally got set up, I got a bad cable box in my room twice in a row. I'm on my third box in a year. Verizon has been nothing but good to me where Comcast has been nothing but a nightmare.
