i was shooting the other day, and there was a guy shooting a 22 riffle, he had special amo in it for just what your doing. he shot the gun, and it was no louder then a peller co2 gun. and very effective.

what kind of gun is that? and how much are they, i have a few critters myself.

Yeah noyzee they make subsonic rounds for the .22. it has to be under 1100 fps.
The problem is a .22 can travel for about a mile, even after rikocheting.
This is a pellet gun that does break at the barrel and shoots at around 1000fps. About $200-225 new. It will do the job. This particular one comes w/ a decent 4x32 scope and a laser sight too.
I might get a slightly different model casue I want fixed sights too, but they are all pretty much the same as this one.
This isn't your $50 Daisy BB gun. This will take down say "cat" size critters.

hey buddy You can kill ground hogs with a good placed shoot with that gun and those bugger's are hard to get. I shot one similiar to that because of a slight bird problem at my place. what ever you do don't shot house roof's or car's because you can shoot right though them. good luck and you'll need look at a bb gun agian I'll tell ya that much.

YOu will love the GAMO. Bought one for my mother last christmas. she has a yard full of bird feeders and a serious squirrel problem. She has 17 confirmed kills in just over a year. all with one shot. When I saw cat prints on my SS that was the first thought to go through my mind.

My bro bought a gamo also. His is rated at 1100 or 1200 fps...the thing is SICK!!! It will shatter a penny and completly deform a quarter or nickel. I have a rem that shoots about 1000fps, its pretty sick but doesn't compare to the gamo.
And ya, Noyzee...I got an *** ton of subsonic .22 at my house, we can shoot out my backyard any time you want! Or we can break out the brass cannon if you want noise!

454mag, thanks for the info about Dicks. I got one near by so I'll check em' out.
I was planning on going to a Hunting/Fishing Expo this weeked, at the Big E, so if they don't have em' there I'll swing by on the way home.

when i had a squirrel/crow problem at my moms house about 5-6 yrs ago i pulled out the crossman with a 4x10 scope, ill tell ya. ya pump it 20x+ it usually 1 shot kill with a well placed shot

Yeah I guess this particular one and similars from Gamo shoot a .177 Pellet. They say certain pellets can shoot up to 1,200 fps though one of these guns. 1,100 fps is breaking the sound barrier. That is why with these guns they can be as loud as a .22. If you keep the velocity below that, than they are not too loud. Kinda cool though.

Great gun out of the box, but with a little custom work (Macarri Turantula Spring, custom machined guide, hone/hatch cylinder, complete tune/lube and GRT-3 blade), she's now the perfect shooter

Can i rent one of those things from some one. I got squirrels on my roof that wake me up every morning. i swear they start humping the **** out of each other around 5:30am, its the most ridiculous noice i have ever heard.
