Big thanks to Cartek
I was at englishtown on saturday 3/29 and I made my first 10 second pass. It has been a long time coming and hopefully in the months to come we will be cutting the number down even further. Thanks Juilo, Roy, Mike, and Dave. I made this pass with everything in the car and having it weigh 3800 lbs. with me in it. I had my best 60' ever and I know there is even more in the car. Now it is time to put it on a diet so I can have even more fun.

Thanks Marc. I dropped the car off yesterday because we found a couple on things on my logs. So there are going to be somethings that have to be tweaked. Before I took it over there I had the front sway bar out and removed the passenger seat, rear seat and rear seat belts. The pictures are up on englishtowns website. I was suprised when I saw that my left front tire was off the ground and the right front was only on the ground by just a little bit. If we can get some weight out it should really move. I just can not say enough how happy I am with the way the car is running. All I need is a little practice and I should have more consistant runs in the tens.

The car is a 2000 Z28 SS with a Cartek 427, Cartek ported fast 90mm intake and nick williams 90mm throttle body, moser 12 bolt rear with 3.90 gears, rpm 4l60e auto transmission level 5 with 4400 vig lockup converter and stand alone TCI transmission computer, the driveshaft shop chromemoly steel driveshaft, spohn body mount torque arm with driveshaft loop, spohn subframe connectors, spohn lower control arms and panhard bar, Wolfe bolt in six point roll bar with driver and passenger swing outs, corbeau forza II drivers seat, various autometer gauges. I was running centerline skinnies up front with stock Z28 5 spoke wheels with ET Street bias ply tires. When the car was a six speed it put 535-540 to the wheels on Cartek's dyno. I just do not know what it makes through the auto. I was the person that bought your HAL QA1 front shocks they worked great thanks mike. I hope that we can get the car into the 10.50's and I think once some weight comes out it should not be a problem. I have to goto Cartek tommorrow so I will bring my camera and take some pictures and post them tomorrow.

JS Thanks. I will keep at it. They have always told me that the car was too heavy but I always wanted to keep it somewhat streetable but after saturday I figured what is the point I never drive it anymore other than once in a while on the street. It used to be my every day car but now I know if I really want to get serious the car needs to be lighter. Bumper supports out they come along with anything else that is not really needed.

I never knew you were there on that first day. Yes it has come a very long way since then. There have been some bumps in the road but all in all I would have not wanted to do it any other way. I have been thankful ever since Juilo first tuned the car. I also remember the day I destroyed the original motor with a 125 shot. Driving it home from the track with my dad in the car and it was spewing oil all over the place. Nothing like seeing the oil pressure hold a 40 then drop to nothing and stay there while you are driving it. I was just hoping to make it home. Now with it starting to go in the right direction I can not wait to see what the futrue brings.
