Nice numbers. I met a guy with an 00 C5 with a procharger on a stock motor, just a tune he was claiming 650 horse, but I kinda just said oh really and walked away.

Sick numbers. Why not change the heads/gaskets and lower the SCR a little?

Bye bye piston ringlands.
That's a lot for a stock block.

makes me wish I reconsidered the D1 offered to me a few years ago.

only reason we did the cam is b/c the car got the dreaded "my cam bolts are loose" code so we figured we might as well change the cam if we were into it already.

you should... it would wake it up a bit... call slowhawk and have him hook you up.

Frans the man, talked me out of buying cheap headers and got me hooked up with some American Racing Longtubes. My car has never felt better, can't wait for the cam and tune. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Fran... Sounds like a killer combo.. I'm justing thinking the short block won't last for long, but gives the owner another chance to upgrade at that point..

What did he have done fuel system wise?

Met the owner of the car tonight at cecil. Super nice guy. I think he was just feeling the car out just a tad. He got some serious tire issues.

Fran, I dont know if he is on this forum but if you can look at his suspension tire setup before something in the rear goes pop. He had some wheel hop going on. (maybe a strut brace) few hundred there might save the rear for a while?

The other impressive thing it has a 5 inch pulley on the blower. That should eliminate almost all belt slip issues..

Cant comment on the times the car ran due to tires. But the MPH was in the mid/high 120s... So the car will run a number with tires...

Very nice numbers on a stock shortblock! I like to know what he can put up with some decent rubber That D1SC is a great option for a quick street car.

yeah he called me... hes not the best driver either... and the suspention is 100% stock and the tires are terrible... we will put a drag radial on it and take it back with me driving and im sure it will go 10's
