I might be moving down to Surry, and I was wondering a few things

Most important, how's the car scene? Local drag strips?

Also I'm trying to get a feeling for the (increase) in cost of living from my small town Ohio area.

Are there smaller towns outside of Surry that I might want to look into for cheaper living?

If you can help me out I would appreciate it!

i live in surry. there is no car scene there. the town just got its first stop light last year! you`ve got newport news, va beach, richmond all within an hour that have plenty of stuff going on. surry is a pretty cheap place to live, but you`ll have to drive about a half hour or cross the ferry to get anywhere. there are two dragstrips close to surry. din widdie and richmond dragway. richmond dragway is closer and i like it better. there is a really good car club out of richmond called RPM. last summer i met a really good tuner. steve williams. he goes by the name frost on here. the guy can do anything you want with an ls motor. great guy! why in the world would you want to move to surry?????

oh, your one of those guys. lol! just kidding, im an ironworker. i work around you guys all the time. when do you think you might come to surry? im working at salem nuclear plant in new jersey right now. we`re doing a steam generater replacement.
