Default Any motorcycle riders out there??

Who all rides a bike wether it be your DD or just for fun???

Reason I'm wondering is because I'm looking into buying my first bike this weekend and parking the truck because gas is killing me..

I can have a new bike payment, insurance, and gas and still save about $300 bucks a month.

This is what I'm wanting to get. Its a 08 vulcan 1600 mean streek

Post up some pics of yours!!

I drive a '06 Harley Superglide Custom, 6-spd, blk, w/a bunch of add-ons. I'm a nice-weather weekend warrior...only 2200 mi. since new in May of '06. Alot of fun, it's quick, but surely not fast. It's hell driving it around central Ma....too many *** clowns on cells, putting on make-up, reading the newspaper, old unconscious people, etc. while driving their cars/trucks. I like riding the back roads of western Ma., Quabbin Reservoir area and Vermont roads the best. Have met some nice people on my bike, but only get 26-28 mpg----less if I'm pounding on it. If you buy a bike....be careful out there...remember...there are no fender-benders in a motorcycle accident.... WJ

I got my motorcycle endorsement a while ago but haven't picked up a bike yet...mostly because I got my Formula not long after that. I'd like to get something simple like a 650 cruiser, it would be my first bike so I don't want anything crazy.

I had that same experience with cycling. Before I had a car I had to ride my bike every where. It sucked. Now every nice day I'm out on my mountain bike after work.

beast mode you will really enjoy your bike then I would suggest getting stiffer springs and revalved shocks. I was riding with my buddies 08' gixxer 750 on some mountain rodes around home last weekend and shocked him when I lose him at will. just don't start thinking you can play with them on highways it just ain't happening.
