Default Philly, Looking for a shop to install heads/cam/tune

Yeah just like the title says.

I have a 2002 LS1 in my Nissan. I pulled the 241 heads and I am not sure if I want to use them or not. I have a classified up trying to trade a very low mile set of complete 317 heads for 243's. But regardless I am going with a Thunder Racing Cam package with dual springs.

So whatever heads I use 241 or 243 will be milled, and machined, and re-assembled. I am an electronics guy, so when it comes to internals of an engine my skills lack. But I am looking for a shop that won’t rape me too bad.

Install new cam, new lifters, new oil pump, push rods, heads, and water pump. Basically head and cam swap with reassemble.

If you have a shop near me (19135) please let me know, and if there’s any way you can shoot me a rough number that would be awesome.

Agreed on Rapid Motorsports. A buddy of mine got his '02 Z28 tuned by the owner of Rapid and he did a hell of a job. Free mods, SLP lid, smooth bellows, and Pacesetter LTs dumping after the Y pipe and Mikey was able to squeeze out 368hp/376tq.

I just sent them an email with all the cam info and to see what the labor rates would be. The only thing is that Birdsboro is about 60 miles each way.

Right now my car is open header. But the rear 02 sensors are turned off. And I am using modified hooker headers, true dual, no cats, that are going to be going into dual Borla XR's 3/3.

That intake is homemade, but I need to make some corrections to it. I want to bring the MAF closer.

Does rapid ECU tune, because I have 5 codes, and only one is real. The ecu is looking for my AC clutch relay, my fuel sending unit, and another fuel relay, and some other false code. The only real code I have is MAF under voltage which I need to figure out why.

The cam specs are
"TR 220-112" - 220/220 .551/.551 112 LSA

Id be curious to know what it can do, but the car is less then 2400lbs

Trust me when I say that Rapid is worth the drive. He's about 75 or 80 miles from my house, but I'm glad I went.
Mikey does his own tuning. He is one of the best LSX tuners out there. Some other shops in the area sub-contract out their tuning.

Thanks for the input, I'm gonna have to call around and see whats doing.

But if any of you boosters need a pair of 317's I have a set with less then 6K on them. Will sell or trade.

And pics for those that care to see...

The rust has been fixed
