"What You Can Expect @ Citrus Natl's after today's observation" If today's Test 'n Tune was any indication, this will be an awesome gathering. Everything from 6 second rail passes, to a Turbo'd '67 Nova starting to pull the wheels at around the 1/8th. (Probably boost was hittin' hard in second gear).
Stock and Superstock Eliminator cars. (Nice to see a SS/AA Corvette running 8's instead of the '68 & '69 Hemi Darts and Cuda's that are the usual.etc, etc, along with old & newer F-bodies, Vette's, some Bikes....
I saw many out of state plates on the rigs around the track as well.
We're just scratchin' the surface there as when I left today, rigs were still pullin' onto the grounds.
Tomorrow morning & Sunday the Gates Open 8:00am, and Time Trials begin at 9:00am.
Saw just a coupl'a chutes pulled all day with that nice long shutdown area.
(Turbo'd six second '99? Mustang, and a Top Alcohol Dragster).
Our area has had a real tough time of it these last few years as the "old track" (Moroso), just kept deteriorating with a hopeless attitude by former owner Sue once she took over after her legendary dad "Dick Moroso" past away in the nineties.
I doubt anyone will be dissapointed with the new "PBIR" venue..
I went to the final round at last weeks GM Challenge and had a Blast.
Track is awesome! Some peripherals aren't finished yet, but it's cake.
You get a sense that you can almost touch the rides as they fly by the stripe if you walk downtrack....
$25 each day Sat. or Sun. or if you go tomorrow, you can buy both days for $40.
Me, I'm workin' just long enough Saturday that it'll kill my day, but I'm def goin' for Sunday's finals.
