Default Experience Hard Wiring V1

Any of you local guys have any experience hard wiring a Valentine radar detector, and might be able to help me if I buy one?

Sorry, I'm not local to you. It's not hard.

Find an ignition switched 12v power source and a ground close by. Run the cable up the inside of the pillar trim, to the center of the windshield (if that's were you will mount it). Cable tie the wire to cords to the rear view mirror and mount it.

Let us know how it worked out.

I tapped into a 12V source under the driver kick panel and routed it up the a-pillar and across the headliner right above the mirror. It's been years since I did it, but I seem to recall I used a guide someone else wrote. I haven't even used my V1 in a few years. False sense of security for me.

I have a 'vert and power it from the rear view
mirror "retained power" feed that is up in there.
Forget the wiring details, now. But it was easy
and only used about 6" of the phone-cord they
provide. I JB-Welded the clip to the glass so I
wouldn't have those suction cups coming loose.
