Any Toyota techs?
I tried a Toyota forum but got no responses . Hopefully someone can help me out, my dad has a 99 Sienna that I noticed was leaking oil. At first I thought it was leaking from the gasket on the oil pan, but thats not the case. The oil is leaking from a type of sealant (not a gasket) that looks to be between the block and the piece that attaches to the oil pan. How would I go about fixing this?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm a Cadillac tech. It looks similar to the 32v northstar motors in the devilles and sevilles. The block is two pieces. We call it a "mid-seal" or "mid-section". Just take it apart and re-seal it.
I'm not sure on that particular vehicle, but on the Cadillacs we have to mount an engine support fixture over the motor so we can remove the cradle and transmission to even get to the mid section.
Good luck.
