Default Missed toll payment; worries?

I hit an unmanned tollboth last night and didn't have exact $.25 on me, so I blew through it. Is there any better way to pay besides sending a check, or should I just wait until I get something in the mail? I have out of state plates by the way.

They usually let you get away with a couple here and there. Just don't make a habit of it.

Well that is hard to say. Normally they will let you get away with one or two. Seeing that you are out of state. They will probally let it slide. I may drop the DMV or the toll serivce and see what they see to do. If you wait, it may be to late to just get off with the .25 and you get stuck with 100.00

i have no proof but i have run several tolls in the same situation. i have never received a ticket and i knew someone who worked at a tollbooth and he said you're allowed to run the toll 2 times a month. you will receive a warning in the mail after the second one & then get a ticket. hope that helps

Never got notified and I've done it a couple of times in as many years.

I used to slide through on 2-3 per month without change, but one month I want to say I racked up 6-10 and they sent me a bill for $100. Ironically, only a few days earlier I had picked up a Sunpass transponder on the turnpike and they just let me take the tolls out of the new Sunpass account and they voided the large fine.

Yeah I borrowed a neighbors sunpass to go to TPA the other night, well I guess the battery is dead as it wouldn't go off. I called the number for them, they said call them back when the notice shows up at my house in about a week and all I will have to do is pay the amount of the tolls.

What I have seen in this thread though maybe they won't sweat it, although they do say photo enforced on the Veterans, oh well I'm not too worried after talking to the sunpass rep.

It's rumored that you can run 3 tolls a month and not get a notice. I don't know if there's any truth in it though.

Driving back from West palm beach, i didn't have a plate yet on the car since i just bought it and I must have ran through atleast 4-5 tolls.

If your gonna run through a toll cover you plate up.
