Picked up a new hoopty last week!
For some reason Ive always wanted an old caddy. Wasnt really looking for a convertible, but found a good deal on a clean solid one, that really doesnt need too much work. Maybe some air ride and 22's?

429 vs. 472
But if you do your research, you'll find that the Cad division used the 429 engine thru 1967 model year (and a few years prior).
btw, unless motor was swapped at some time, you'll find the 472 came out in
1968, and a 500"version of that motor became available in the Eldo in 1970, etc.
Real nice ride with such great bodylines, that a nice wheel alone will make for a custom look....

If I like the car and decide to spend the money on new wheels and tires they will have to be 22's. I dont think any smaller of a wheel looks good or fills the wheel wells up better. Im not going to go ghetto. I like the Coys or Boss wheels with the silver painted spokes.
Those Boss wheels would look pretty good on it.

Personally I'd leave it near stock, it'll never handle
so go for comfort (small rim, tall rubber = road couch).
I like my Caprice that way, I've got one high-tension
ride and one for relaxed.
You should get at least one drive-up offer to buy
per day, my big bitch does and it's looking pretty
ratty. Mostly from guys who are "obviously" looking
to donk it up.
