Default Eagle auto in Vero Beach

Just would like to say Matt did my head and cam install. He did a very good job. Anyone looking for h/c install should go to him. Very reasonable too.

Well he charged just $500.00 for head swap and $50.00 to change out engine mounts. I will be using the vinci/crane tuner for now on a dynojet. I figure when I get my fast 92/92 then I go 85mm MAF then hp tuners.

Even now not tuned with tuner the car pulls hard from 4000 up. I also have spark advance built in tuner.

The dyno will be a couple of weeks and I will post results on this entire board.

I supplied all the parts, Well it seems to be coming from driver side only.I am goin to take it back today to him. There was also a slight ticking before head swap. I guess it is just these engines.

I would also like to note. I took my car out on hwy yesterday and MAN from 4000rpms to 6500 just pulls like a raped ape. I should of did this mod years ago. But I wanted the best. So I had to wait.$$$$$. I

Congrats and the AFR's are as good as it gets. On the lifter noise I would be curious how much preload it came out to have with what pushrods as that is a must check item on a head install.

A little advise while you wait to be tuned though. Unless you have a wideband in the car I would not be doing any WOT runs though it is very tempting and feels good. It may be just fine, but if the tune is off enough you could end up taking a step backwards unexpectedly. Just my two cents.

Thanks for response mike, You can never go wrong by adding more fuel to set up which I did cause of #30lb injectors. The ticking noise seems to be coming from driver side. I had contacted roger vinci. They had put afr's on johns red c5 and he said to use the 7.350 pushrods.

Yeah, the 30lbers will add fuel with no ther changes.

The 7.35's may work but it still all depends on the base circle of the cam, are the heads milled as well as factory tolerances of the block as far as cam location. I have had to use anything from 7.35 to 7.45 pushrods to get proper preload for sure. How much preload did you end up with??

Like I said, everything should be close enough, I am just one of those that would rather be safe then sorry and verify all is good instead of assuming they are. Good luck for sure.

I am doing an LS1 swap with a 4l60E auto tran's in my 1969 Nova. I allready have the motor, tran's and wiring harness but it looks like the harness may need a little help or may have to buy a painless wiring harness. Do you know if that shop in Vero has history of LS1 swaps I just dont wanna get involved in a shop that its there first one and then they quote me one price then relize its way more work and it doubles or tripples.
