Default Sports cards, collectables

Has anyone on here ever sold sports cards? Well that is my main inquire, I also have some comics and stamps and such I'd like to get rid of also, but I have no idea where to start.

The cards are where I want to start actually. So trying to figure out where I can sell them and the person would be fair. Thanks -Corey

Well for the sportcards, it all depends on the condition of the card, player, card maker, etc. BECKETT used to be the main source of card valuation. I have been outta the game a long time, but they usually set the prices via market demand and player performance. Now the card companies have gone outta control making various versions of the same card, inserting actual slivers of wood from a game used bat, pieces of fabric from game worn jerseys, limited autograph runs, etc etc etc.

The real market is now on "graded cards....they will grade a card on a scale from 1-10 based on squared corners, centering of image, edging, etc etc etc...its a whole new game and I am way outta the loop.

What are you thinking about selling?
Get a Beckett magazine from the local bookstore or sportscard dealer.
Older cards 80's and 90's don't go for much unless they are rookie cards or short prints. Early 80's and earlier can get some good coin condition wise.
Check ebay too, see whats going on out there.

I sold all my misc cards about 10 years ago, but kept some nice rookie cards, Mark McGuire, Eddie Murry, A-Rod, Jeter and best of all....my 300+ card collection on Ken Griffey Jr.

Oh man I'm gonna go nuts trying to sort out the sports cards. I must have thousands of them. Thankfully I think I have the rarer stuff sorted out previously.
