Local shops in North Central Florida to rebuild T-56?
Alright, well I pulled my transmission out Friday night and doused it with degreaser so she's all clean. I've narrowed down the shops to have the t-56 built down to 3 shops, but the main 2 I want to have it built by are not answering their phones, nor returning my messages and I really don't want to send it to the third due to the extra $250-300 they charge compared to other shops. I've been calling since Friday, just before noon. Anyways, since these shops don't want my business, is there any local shops from Orlando area north to about Gainesville that has a trustworthy reputation in rebuilding t-56's? PM me if needed.

Dropped it off at Lamotta's today at noon. Thanks everyone for the pm's and replies! No offense to the other shops, just when factoring in shipping and the locality of the other shops, I felt I was better off from someone more local with a good reputation. I drive from Ocala to Orlando 4 days a week, so I'm not really out any money on gas/shipping/etc. All but one shop did eventually return my calls and all were really helpful, got plenty of insight from those who I did talk to.

Ya, I have had Doc work on my previous car and have no complaints whatsoever from efi. They are a great bunch of guys. Distance is the only thing with them. I was looking for something local, or in the area I frequently drive, such as to gville or Orlando. I do wish they were a little closer, but there's just not a big market in late model performance vehicles around the ocala/gville area.

Just an update. Got the transmission back last Tuesday and installed it last Thursday night. Feels great! Definitely needed a rebuild when I bought the car two years ago as it didn't even feel this smooth before having my recent problems with it. Should be taking it out to Gville Wednesday to get some practice runs in before the Unleashed event in November.
