Cool Lashway's '65 Buick Special/LS build...it has begun!

SO, a few months ago I posted about this Buick that I bought, and the eventual plans for it. It will become the shop car after it is done and will hit all the local meets and shows, letting people see our work first hand and what we're capable of here at the shop...

In the meantime, the mock up engine arrived today We will use this just to get her running, and to complete the floors and tunnel. The car will also have air suspension on all 4 corners so I needed it running before I could set all that up...

Here are some photos. The cryo-treated internals T56 is being built as well and should be ready soon!

We encourage everyone to come by and check out the process. We're also gong to add a blog to our site that will be updated constantly with shop projects and news.

Enjoy...

Body work being completed at the shop as well, check out those tires!

Awesome! I've got a 67 Special convertible I've had for 13 years that will be my next pro-touring project.

Very cool. Your project looks very "serious". What is your eta for completion on this build. I am hoping to have the LQ9 in my 65 this fall.

Hard to believe there are 2 similar cars out there. Mine was a 64. I sold it to a guy in Youngstown in 2004. Here are some pix from while it was being built.

Wow I think that is the car Erik owns now. I was talking to him and I think he mentioned it coming from OH.

I'm almost positive it is the same car. The cage and tubs look the same only there is a floor in the car now.

I hope to get a 1965 Buick Riviera for my next project. I saw the car in Roadhouse when I was little and wanted one since.

It would of been funny if it was the same car.

Is this for real? C'mon Jon, how about a $3000 727 in my Dad's car and countless referrals to your shop over the years- no love there?
Everyone around here knows Superior is top notch!

Wally owed me a favor- don't take it personally- YEESH.

And quit banging your head against the wall, it's harmful to your health!
