There was definitely some SERIOUS LSx power out there, but it looks like nobody had any fun....

Yea, she's "good to go", and a real tall cutie that Paige.
She hung out on the track most times between episodes sitting on the wall chatting.
We had got there before 6pm Friday.
The sun got hidden behind clouds that stayed out West at about 6:15pm, and it cooled off real well into the 70's with a nice breeze.
Absolutely beautiful night for making, and watching passes. Really.
They had several cars take a practice pass starting around 6:15pm if they were picked for one of the episodes.
Terrible hook up, that got better when they sprayed "sticky" on the starting line before taping of the show began around 7:45pm.
Five episodes were filmed yesterday and due to a rain delay from Thursday, also probably ended up finishing about 4am.
There was about a 35 minute downtime between episodes. Also a couple mistakes on what I have to chalk up as "nervous driver's.
I felt bad for the Black '68 Street Fastback Mustang with a 4 speed stick, when the driver missed 3rd Gear.
You see, during the pre-run interview where each money contestant gets to ask the driver a question?
Well one of the contestant's asked the driver "if he had an "H" pattern shifter, and if he thought he'd have a problem 'catching' third gear".
Guy said "no he'd have no problem."
Of course that "jinxed" the run, and you guessed it.
After a decent launch, the car missed 3rd gear, (and you could tell from the stand's it didn't want to click in), He ended up with a 16 second pass you'll undoubtedly see televised.
It's a shame, as I've seen this "Old School" streetcar at the track often and run low 13's in the Mustang portion of PBIR's old Challenge Series.
In another nervous mistake?, now a late model Dk.Green Mustang running in the Combo round next to a white late model Mustang turbo car, drove away right after he staged, and before the tree activated.
Blew the pass, and the White stang ended up leaving the line later. Don't know if that one will make the show or not.
In another "Combo Round" two Notchback Fox Body Mustang's with Turbo's", had a great door handle to door handle race, with one in the leftlane peddleing just a 'lil bit" to keep off the wall.
Nice mid 7 second pass for each, with 2/10th's seperating them at the stripe.
We left in the middle of the 4th episode, and that was 1:15am.
They had two awesome episodes where the cars all ran 7's and 8's. One door slammer went 6.77. They had an "All Alcohol" episode as well. Nicely run format, and entry was "FREE".
Big congrat's to nice guy's Allan & Jon of Superior Transmissions in Boca.
Jon's sweet carburated Dragster ran an easy 8.10 pass in a combo round vs. a Blown Front engined Dragster, while Al's clean '64 White 'Vette Coupe with a 468" BB, ran a 9.44 on his solo "Pass Time" run.
Way to represent Boca, gents!
I wouldn't have wanted to wait in that heat all day without a trailer, etc.
but all in all it was a good time, the weather turned much cooler, and as spectator's we all enjoyed it.
