M6 to A4 anyone here done one
I know all of the basics to it. but what are the options with the harness? Do u have to switch harness' or can modify it to make it work? Or does someone make a harness adaptor?
Since no one is really interested in the car which is ok bc I really don't want to get rid of it work just hasn't been steady but it's picking up slowly. So I'm thinking I may want to do an A4 swap. If I can find someone that would want to go M6.
Thanks for the input and if u have any pics of ur swap that would be cool if u can post them up
Thanks matt

You WILL need to swap the harness as the PCM controls the a4. Going from
A4 to M6 is a bit easier as you can still use the A4 harness. I've done A4 to M6 swaps to both my TAs. Going to the A4 you will need to block off the firewall hole left by the master and you'll have to cover the big hole on the tunnel left by the stick. A small hole is all that's needed for the shifer cable. Other than that, its all parts swap. Also, keep in mind you can't drive the car once the A4 is in, the PCM will need a reflash first.
Is this for that 1LE Z28 I've seen? Honestly, I'm not sure if the AC box is there etc...but I would do that before I did a trans swap. Sorry, just my thought. As you know that Fla heat is just too much. A bud of mine did that to make it a more strip car but he took the street fun out of in in the summer with no AC.

Glad its not the 1LE car...
PITA is the word. Make sure you get the same year harness to be 100% its all plug play. Not too bad considering the swap. Hard part is finding a good harness for not too much $$$.
