Just did one a couple months back
I should have taken pics.
I made a flap(cut 3 sides) and folded it out of way.
I spot welded a tab on the 3 sides and screwed it on.
Now I can remove screws ,cut caulk and get in there again if I need to.
I cut a parts car up so I could see where to cut.
LMK if you need the measurements.
Look for ribs and the spot welds that attach them,go 3/4 inch inside.
Be real careful up front as all the lines and wires are up there.

You dont have to drop the tank, but rather be super careful not to cut the fuel lines or tank. I used a 90 deg cut off wheel but a air nibbler may be safer!!! I also went to the junk yard and cut out a panel out of another fbody slightly larger than the hole I cut so I could have a removable panel
