check engine light Hey guys just pit a converter in my car and now my cel flashed at idle and it doesn't throw a code when I hook my scanner up any ideas guysi

check the history codes. usually a flash indicates a misfire if you have a smaller converetr it may cause a low rpm miss you will need tuning to get it cleaned up basically idle spped raised and misfire reporting turned off maybe. I am not a tuner but from watching some tuning this is what I have seen. Remember the converter rotational mass is meant to help get the motor to the next firing cycle with smaller converters the dyanmics of that change.
