Default Broke my driveshaft

Took my car to the track wednesday and broke my driveshaft on the second pass. The first pass wasn't anything special cause I had a passenger. Second run I was going all out and snapped the shaft on the launch. I'll definitely get a stronger driveshaft, unfortunately money is tight at the moment. The car is my DD so I need to get it back on the road as soon as I can. Do any of you guy in the ocala area have a stock driveshaft laying around you could sell me.

I'll try again on the pictures. This is the first time i actually tried to post pictures on here. Yes it was the stock aluminum shaft, and I was on a set of nitto's.

no sir, actually a driveshaft from a manual will not work as from one from an auto due to length.

Thanks guys I thought they were they same. What about the year range,? Is it just 4th gens or are the 3rds they same too? I read somewhere that they were all they same but was not sure if that was true.

Most 3rd gens are the same length too, just a smaller diameter on the aluminum driveshafts. The 82/83 cars had some different transmission options that had different driveshafts. All the 700R4,4L60e,T5 and T56 cars all use the same length driveshaft.

No safety loop. Luckly it broke towards the rear, nothing else was damaged.

That's an hour and a half drive for me. I'll take it off your hands if you're willing to meet me half way.
