Finished my car! *pics* *video*
So in March I started my car up and it made a terrible noise. Bent connecting rod. So I decided to do everything (except the short block) myself. Big shout out to my ninja Chris for all of his advice and building the short block for me, THANKS!
The car just had bolt-ons before, stock internally, but I spend the past 5 1/2 years beating it like a cheap hooker, so I ended up having to replace 6 of the pistons.
So I decided to put the head/cam/clutch etc on while I had it all apart.
Stats:
2002 Camaro Z28
Intake:
Ram Air (custom through bumper) Lid, descreened maf , Fernco bellows, Ported throttle body
Motor:
Champion Racing Ported 862 heads with ls1 valves
Cam 228/228 .588/.588 112lsa
918’s, LS7 Lifters, comp 7.4 pushrods
Arp rod bolts, ported oil pump,
Poly motor mounts
MSD plug wires
New bearing and rings and all that jazz
Tranny:
6 speed swap
Ls7 Clutch, drill mod
Built t56 (cf syncros, steel ¾ shift fork, etc)
Pro 5.0 Shifter (pistol grip yeahhh)
Poly trans mount
Exhaust:
Ceramic coated Pacesetter longtubes
Off-road Y-pipe, no cats
20” powerstick in I-pipe
Hooker catback
3.5” stainless tips
Suspension:
Kyb 8 way adj shocks
Adj pan hard rod
Relocation brackets,
Strano front sway bar (need to get rear)
lowered 1”
Other:
Wire mod
Filled in front bumper (needs repainted, hit something)
Short antenna
Black Halos
Chrome SS wheels
1st gen Z28 emblems
Everything tinted
