Default MY buddies and I-Dyno day In Tampa

Well my buddy just finished rebuilding his motor with a mild heads and cam, and i finally got my 408 in the vette. So we took a day and went down to tampa to get them tuned by Jeremy Formato. Here are some pics and videos. We had a great time besides the temp being over 100*

How did your 408 do? I've had past troubles with tuners with my 408 102/102.
How's the midrange?
We also have the same MAS.
Interested to know how is drivability is. Cam surge? That I do have.

PM me if you don't want to post numbers.

Not bad. Mine ran 498 477 with my old setup and cam. I added 102/102, Mezier, double roller, Melling HV and cam 231/241 613/624 111+3 and got to my number in Sig. Not bad overall, but driving sucks unless WOT. Zero heat issues with LT1 Rad and Mezier but I don't drive it much.

What cam specs? Heads?

Toby, you get the engine in and running?

Which meet is this?

I'd like to see how the 408 in the vette runs since my tune sucks for drivability. I've heard too many excuses as why mine runs the way it does, "its my MAS LS7, 102 TB too big, injectors calibrated wrong, iac opening too small", etc etc...It won't even idle when cold. I've spent a lot on tunners and now I'm reluctant to let anyone tune it unless I see similar setups run.

Yep just got it up and running yesterday. It's running great. I'm still waiting on fbody coil brackets to arrive, but i've improvised for now.

The meet is every Monday night at 10pm, publix plaza at 434 and montgomery in longwood. It started out as a "RWD meet" then a bunch of "drifters" showed up, then a bunch of fwd ricers. It's usually a pretty cool meet. I hang out with a bunch of road race/autocross guys that are all really cool. weather tonight is looking iffy, and next week I'll be in Georgia, but you should definitely come check it out!

And as far as your tune goes, I think it's just the combination of parts you have makes it very hard to tune... but not impossible. I would give Jeremy a call and see what he can do for you!

I hate hearing stuff like that. Ill throw this out, Drive over to Tampa one weekend and lets spend a day with the car and try to fix the issues. No sense having a fun car that's not fun.
