Heads Up Standing 1/2 Mile Airstrip Event Oct. 22nd Hey guys saw where www.wannaGOFAST.com is doing this event again on October 22nd it's super fun here's a video from their last event. Had several LS motors out there and plenty of other amazing cars!

www.wannagofast.com it's in Carrabelle, FL about an hour south of Tallahassee. They also have a Facebook page www.facebook.com/wannagofastllc you can see all the current registrants and the past registrants from the July 30th event.

I spectated this event a couple months ago. You run down an small air strip runway that's not really prepped like a drag strip. They basically send you down heads up or solo and they give you a trap speed but no E.T.. There were nice and fast cars there, the staff was great, and overall a good event last time but the weather was crazy hot and if you plan on spectating be sure to bring chairs, a tent for shade, a cooler of drinks, and bug spray. Carrabelle FL is a small beautiful fishing community but it's definitely seems like you're in the middle of the woods. The towns you pass through are small fishing towns, not your typical beach touristy looking places.

I wouldn't call the airstrip small. It's also hard to prep a 3/4 mile long runway without having deep pockets. Also, runway events are about speed and not E.T.'s this is much different than your typical drag strip setup indeed. Where else can you go ***** out for a 1/2 mile and not get in trouble or endanger an innocent person on the street? As for the heat and bugs October will not have any of the issues July did I can assure you that.

Nope this is it for Florida and basically the whole southeast. Probably why so many people are traveling from all over for it. Saw a supercharged Viper is traveling down all the way from St. Louis, Missouri. Anyone planning on registering this weekend??
