I find myself in need of an honest, reliable mechanic that knows the ins and outs of a 2002 Firebird 3.8L. The shop that I have been using for general repairs just isn't cutting it lately. I need someone that I can tell them the history of what has been done vs current symptoms/OBD codes and have them say "ah ha"! My bird has 111000k and is having repeated spark/fuel issues, i.e. ECM, ignition coils, MAF sensor, etc

Anyone know anyone in the Eastern Hillsborough County area (Temple Terrace/ Thonotosassa), maybe even Brandon or Tampa? Prefer to stay close to home since sometimes she can't run well enough to go too far.

The MAF is very sensitive electronics. Maybe it just is dirty and needs a cleaning, with MAF spray. Could be a lot of different things, but could be simple. We need more info to help you.
