Default what is up with tampa hotels

Dear god iam going to Bush gardens next week and iam looking for a place, well all the hotels in the $60 dollar a night range are horrible i was reading the reviews left by other plp and almost all of them say the place is scarry, bad hood, hotels had roaches and rat dropings in them pretty much all of the reviews for the hotels in that range say get the hell away from this place. Then i started looking at the hotels that where $100 or so and they still had quite a bit of bad reviews. I mean man there is a severe lack of hotels period and most of them have horrible reviews and are expensive. I remember when i went to Orlando the place i stayed wasnt the best but it was still pretty clean and the room was pretty bit for only costing me like $60 a night. IT seems all of the hotels around Tampa are expensive and suck. Could some one pls pls pls pls pls recomend me a hotel around there maibe in a nearby city not to far for maibe like $60 or $70 a night. I am looking online so if u know the name of a nearby city or teh name of a hotel that is good and not getto as hell pls let me know u Tampa guys or guys around there plz help out a fellow member me

sorry for the long post i just had ot get that of my chest man damn those hotels suck and they so expensive what gives.

well, for one, busch gardens isnt in a nice area at all. lol. so all the hotels around it do suck. there are a few nice ones around USF, which is pretty close to Busch Gardens still, but theyre a little more expensive, im not sure how much but for sure over 100 a night.

when are you going to Tampa?

i'll be up there next week probable Monday till Wed damn so i could look around the USF area what is that called there??? I really dont want to spend $100 plus a night for a hotel since the only reason iam going is for the parks is not like iam going to hang out at a hotel and chill by the pool, i just need a place to sleep in pretty much so it pisses me off that if i want to stay in a place without rat dropings i gotta pay like $120 a night.

the area is called temple terrace IIRC. theres a Ramada right by B.G., but again, its not in a very nice neighborhood. i was at a party there once, and it didnt seem too bad...but i was drinking so my perspective was skewed.lol. theres a Howard Johnson on the corner of Nebraska Ave, and Fowler Ave which isnt too bad. its right by the interstate too, and maybe 20 mins from B.G. too. i dont remember how much it is though.

yea, i lived in tampa for about 18 years....lol.

if its the one on Fowler Ave, then its pretty nice, and the area isnt too bad either. its right next to USF and not too far from Busch Gardens either.
